Yield / Serves
Half cup semolina
1 cup oats
3-4 tb sp yoghurt
An onion finely chopped
Green chilly chopped
Few curry leaves, mustard seeds and
Salt. Fruit salt or eno
Make a thick batter with the semolina, oats, yoghurt, water and salt. Keep it aside for 15-20 mins.
In a pan heat oil. Splutter the mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves.
Add the onions, green chilly and ginger. Cook for few mins.
Sdd this to the batter. Add eno and mix the batter well.
Grease the appe patra pan and heat it. Add the batter and cover.
Cook on low flame for 6-8 mins. Flip over and repeat the cooking time.
Serve hot with any spicy dip. This yields about 20 appes.
