About this Recipe

Oats Appe - A quick n healthy snack that can be packed for kid's tiffins.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • Half cup semolina
  • 1 cup oats
  • 3-4 tb sp yoghurt
  • An onion finely chopped
  • Green chilly chopped
  • Grated ginger
  • Few curry leaves, mustard seeds and
  • Salt. Fruit salt or eno

How to cook?
  1. Make a thick batter with the semolina, oats, yoghurt, water and salt. Keep it aside for 15-20 mins.
  2. In a pan heat oil. Splutter the mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves.
  3. Add the onions, green chilly and ginger. Cook for few mins. 
  4. Sdd this to the batter. Add eno and mix the batter well.
  5. Grease the appe patra pan and heat it. Add the batter and cover.
  6. Oats Appe
  7. Cook on low flame for 6-8 mins. Flip over and repeat the cooking time.
  8. Serve hot with any spicy dip. This yields about 20 appes.
