About this Recipe

This pancake is easily available in the streets of north india . Moreover it is a healthy alternative to dosa. Just perfect to have it in your breakfast and stay fit. I have add oats to it to make it more nutritious.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 1/2 cup powdered oats
  • 1 katori dhuli moong Dal(split and husked green gram)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp chillipowder
  • 1 finely chopped green chilly
  • 1 tbsp Finely chopped corriander
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • For stuffing:
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate kernels
  • 1 tbsp pea size cottage cheese cubes sauteed in salt and chillipowder and finely chopped green corriander
How to cook?
  1. Soak dal in water for two hours in lukewarm water.
  2. Drain water and blend well to a fine paste.
  3. To this add oats, salt, chilli powder, chopped green chillies, 1/2 chopped corriander and little water to make a batter of dropping consistency.
  4. Now heat the griddle and do just little brushing of oil. If the griddle is dry they woul stick and if the griddle is oily they won’t take the shape.
  5. Now spread the batter and cook on both sides pouring little oil on the sides on medium high flame.
  6. Similarly prepare all pancakes.
  7. Your chilla is ready. Stuff it with the prepared cottage cheese cubes and pomegranate kernels .
