  • How to make Jaggery Syrup: [a] Combine jaggery and water in a pan. [b] In medium flame, cook until the jaggery is dissolved. [c] Once you start seeing bubbles lower the flame and cook until a one string consistency is reached. [d] Strain this syrup.
  • Allow the jaggery syrup to cool completely.
  • Dry Roast almonds, walnuts and cashew nuts separately.
  • Allow them to cool.
  • In a small mixer jar, take the roasted nuts, milk powder, cocoa powder, jaggery powder, jaggery syrup and ghee.
  • Grind on low speed in intervals until you can roll the dough and make balls. Note: I used the pulse button for ONE minute (20 second interval)
  • Transfer the dough to a bowl.
  • Make small round balls and slightly flatten the balls.
  • Press gently using your thumb in the center and keep the chocolate chips.

  • Serve as it is or with extra jaggery syrup and chocolate chips.

Recipe Notes

  • Use more almonds than the other nuts to give a good taste.
  • Don’t grind the mixture for a long time otherwise the dough will turn into liquid and you cannot make balls.
