Ingredients & Quantity
  • Tender Coconut (paani waala nariyal) – 1 (grated without its black skin)
  • Milk – 1 Ltr
  • Sugar – ¾ Cup or to taste
  • Green Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
  • Dry Fruits – ¼ Cup (Almonds, Pistachios, Cashews - Chopped) and Raisins
  • Saffron Strands – Few (Optional – I have not added)

How to cook?
  1. Crush and soak the saffron strands in 1 tsp warm milk.
  2. In a thick bottom pan boil milk. Keep the flame medium and stir it continuously to avoid sticking at the base until milk gets reduced to its half ie. around 500-600 ml.
  3. Now add grated coconut to milk and stir it firmly until it again started boiling. Cook on low-medium heat for about 15-20 mins.
  4. Add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and dry fruits. Stir it well and cook it for 5-7 mins.
  5. Garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
