About this Recipe

Palm is a seasonal fruits. It seems in the month August and September. There are so many recipes made by Bengali. This is one of them.

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 1 cup palm extract
  • 1/2 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup rice powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup syrup
  • Sesame seeds as required
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
How to cook?
  1. Get the Palm extract. It is a lengthy process.

  3. Peal off the skin of palm. Rub with little salt and keep aside for half an hour.

  5. Take a sharp metal glass rubbing the palm juice will come out.
  6. Strain the excess water with a maslin cloth.

  8. Take a frying pan heat add extract stir continuously till reduce.

  10. Add rice powder, sugar, milk powder, semolina baking powder and pinch of salt.
  11. Mix well and make a semi solid batter.
  12. Preheat the oven at 170 degree Celsius for 10 minutes.
  13. Brush with butter all muffin cup. Pour the batter into the cup.
  14. Bake for fifteen minutes. Check with a knife if the knife will clean so it is cooked.
  15. Take out from cup brush with syrup spread with sesame.
  16. Ready to serve.
Notes

It has own aroma so no need to add any essence.
