- Moong dal with skin 1/1/2 bowl
- Salt to taste
- 2 Sliced onion
- 4 whole red chili
- Heeng 1 tsp
- Desi ghee clarified butter2 tbsp
- green chili for garnishing

- Wash and soak Dal and rice for 1/2 an hour.
- Cook the khichdi with 4 glass water and salt after a boil keep out the excess dirt , now cook the khichdi at least at least 15 minutes on sim flame
- Heat the ghee in a pan and pop the cumin and chili then fry the onion till golden.
- Serve hot khichdi garnish with fried onion,red chili and sliced green chili
