  • 1/2 cup Moong Dal
  • 1/4 cup Pomegranate Seeds
  • 1 Onion
  • Carrot grated-1
  • 1/2 Cucumber
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
  • a leaves Coriander
  • a leaves Mint
  • 1/4 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder


  • Soak moong dal in water for 20 minutes.
  • Deseed pomegranate seeds.Chop onion and cucumber and grate carrot.
  • Add salt,chaat masala and red chilli powder.
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander and mint leaves.
  • Serve chilled.

Recipe Notes

  • You can add green chutney and sev as garnishing.
  • You can squeeze lime juice.
  • You can add chopped tomatoes.

  1. Thanks Nithya now a days I make lot of salads and this one is now going in my list. I generally make from sprouts but never used moong dal. Please give some more salad recipes.5 stars
