Though Sohal is deep fried snack, people still like it. As it is on high demand you can find it any tea stall, dhaba and restaurants. We can easily make Sohal at home. The name and recipe may vary from state to state. In some states people add onion seeds (kalaunji) in some states people add carom (ajwain).

Ingredients
- 1 cup refined flour
- 2 tbsp refined oil for dough
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 lemon juice
- 1 cup refined oil for deep frying
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- Make a dough with refined flour, salt baking soda, refined oil and carom seeds.
- Without adding water mix all together.
- Now sprinkle with water and make a smooth dough, rest the dough for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes spread with rolling pin, brush with oil and fold twice.
- Now deep fry all the sohal pieces and keep in kitchen cloth.
- Sohal is ready.

- Sohal can be served with tea.
