Milagu Rasam or Pepper rasam is a spicy, tangy and hot appetizer drink made from tamarind, black pepper and cumin.this rasam is excellent remedy for cough and cold in the winters.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup toor Dal
  • 2 tablespoon black pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoon rasam powder
  • 2 to matoes
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seed
  • 2 tablespoon tarmarid
  • Salt

  • Soaked the tarmarid in water.

  • Then soaked the toor Dal for 10 minutes.
  • Then put toor Dal, tomatoes, cumin seeds, salt, black pepper powder, 1 cup water in pressure cooker and Boiled it.

  • When toor Dal is Boiled, mash it nicely. Add water to a soup consistency.

  • Add rasam powder also. Again give one whistle.
  • Then strained tamrind juice and put in dal.
  • Your Milagu Rasam is ready.
