Milagu Rasam or Pepper rasam is a spicy, tangy and hot appetizer drink made from tamarind, black pepper and cumin.this rasam is excellent remedy for cough and cold in the winters.
1 cup toor Dal
2 tablespoons black pepper powder
2 tablespoons rasam powder
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
2 tablespoon tarmarid
Salt as per taste
Soaked the tarmarid in water.
Then soaked the toor Dal for 10 minutes.
Then put toor Dal, tomatoes, cumin seeds, salt, black pepper powder, 1 cup water in pressure cooker and Boiled it.
When toor Dal is Boiled, mash it nicely. Add water to a soup consistency.
Add rasam powder also. Again give one whistle.
Then strained tamrind juice and put in dal.
Your Milagu Rasam is ready.
