- Drain the water of soaked uras dal. Put it in the mixer jar and grind it into fine batter. If required add water.
- Now put this batter into mixing bowl. Next add chopped onion, green chilli, chopped ginger, curry leaves, corriander leaves.
- Add cumin seeds, crushed black pepper, hing, salt to taste and soda. Mix them properly so that they are combined to each other.
- Now heat the oil for frying. Wet your palms with water. Take vada mix, flatten it and make a whole in the centre.
- Drop it in the heating oil. Deep fry from both the sides of the vadas. Keep the flame on medium.
- When they turn brown and crispy, remove the vadas from the oil o the tissue paper so that excess o oil is absorbed.
- Serve the Medu Vada with coconut chutney or Sambhar.
