Mathura Ke Pede

This is a popular sweet from Mathura, so unique to this region that I could never find the similar sweet any where else. Hence I decided to make these at home and it turned out amazing.

  • 2 cup Khoya
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Liquid glucose
  • 1/2 cup Castor sugar


  • Heat the khoya in a nonstick pan and keep stirring it. Cook on a medium flame, for 10 minutes while continuously stirring it, till it gets little colored.
  • Keep the cooked khoya aside. Now boil the sugar with 1/4 th cup of water till it forms a one string consistency.
  • Now add the liquid glucose into the sugar syrup and give it a mix. Remove from the flame..
  • Now add the cooked khoya into the sugar syrup and mix it. Transfer it into a bowl and let it cool for sometime. Now make small pedas out of it and coat with Castor sugar and serve.
