Instructions
- Take your idli mold brush with oil. Stick curry leaves on the mold. It will be a good appearance and will block the wholes. So the batter will not drop.
- Get the batter ready mixing with semolina, curd and salt. The batter should be fluffy.
- Pour the batter into the mold. Steam cook for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes put off the flame and rest for 5 minutes. Then take out the idli.
- Serve with Madras chutney and sambhar. Madras chutney is a gun powder just make a paste with clarified butter.
Recipe Notes
Madras chutney powder which is known as gun powder. It is made by roasted urad dal, roasted Channa dal, red chili and salt. You can grind and keep the powder dry. It can be used with rice, dosa and idli. When you need just make a paste with ghee.
