Creamy, salted, chilled makhana raita serve with stuffed paratha,poori or simple dal and rice.

Ingredients for Makhane Ka Raita

  • 1 cup Makhana/ Fox nut
  • 1/2 kg Curd
  • Plane salt according to your taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt
  • 1/2 tsp Mint powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 2 tsp Roasted cumin powder
  • Pinch of heeng
  • 1 tbsp Finely chopped green chili
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1 tbsp Desi ghee

How to cook Makhane Ka Raita

  1. Heat the ghee in a pan the roast the makhans till light golden ,dish out them. crush some makhana keep aside. Now whip the curd add 1/1/2 cup water mix well.
  2. Add all spices in curd ,put the makhana mix again . Chill the raita Before serving garnish with coriander leaves roasted cumin powder and red chili powder .
