Ingredients for Makhane Ka Raita

  • Makhana/ Fox nut 1 cup
  • Curd 1/2 kg
  • Plane salt 1 tsp or according to your taste
  • Black salt 1/2 tsp
  • Mint powder (optional) 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 2 tsp
  • Pinch of heeng
  • Finely chopped green chili 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp + for garnishing
  • Desi ghee 1 tbsp

How to cook Makhane Ka Raita

  1. Heat the ghee in a pan the roast the makhans till light golden ,dish out them. crush some makhana keep aside.
  2. Now whip the curd add 1/1/2 cup water mix well.
  3. Add all spices in curd ,put the makhana mix again .
  4. Before serving garnish with coriander leaves roasted cumin powder and red chili powder .
