Always my favourite, forever !!! Although I don't enjoy fish that much (I know, being a Bengali I am supposed to but I don't), this remains to be my most preferred fish dish..

Learnt it from mum and for me, no one can such amazing cutlets like her.. this is the 1st thing that i had learnt from her and now I make the same at home..

Ingredients
- Rohu/Katla fish - 500 gm
- Potatoes - 6
- Chopped onions -2
- Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
- Chopped green chillies - 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Fried ground nuts - 1/4 th cup
- Salt
- Refined oil
- Outer coating :
- Bread crumbs
- Egg whites

Instructions
- Boil the fish and potatoes together in a pressure cooker, cool and mash them together, add some salt and mix. make sure that there are no fish bones in it. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and chillies. Once they start smelling, add the chopped onions.
- Fry till golden brown and add the ginger garlic paste and masalas. Add the mashed potato - fish mixture. Cook till done.
- Add the fried groundnuts and cool the mixture.
- Shape the mixture into small patties. Coat them with egg whites and bread crumbs. Deep fry them in hot oil to serve.
