Lemon Rice

Lemon Rice a quick and simple dish to make if you have only minutes in your hands. An awesome spiced up rice with a hint of tangy taste. This lemon rice can be easily made with left over rice.

  • Rice – 2 cups cooked
  • Lemon Juice – 3 tbsps
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Urad Dal - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Channa Dal - 1 tsp
  • Dry red chilly - 2 broken
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Salt
  • Oil - 2 tbsps


  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, channa dal, urad dal, dry red chillies, curry leaves and fry for few seconds till it splutter.
  • Now add in salt and turmeric powder and fry for few seconds.
  • Add lemon juice and mix well.
  • Add cooked rice, mix well and stir until everything is tossed well together and take off the heat.
