Lemon Rasam Without Tomato

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Toor dal cooked
- 1 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 3 Green chili
- 1 Red chili
- 1/4 tsp Ginger chopped
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Curry leaves
Instructions
- Take 1 cup water, add turmeric powder, chopped ginger, slitted green chilly , salt and allow it to boil in low flame.
- After 5 to 10 minutes, add cooked dal, 1 cup water, mix and let it boil for a minute.
- Finally add lemon juice, coriander leaves, mix and remove from flame.
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a small pan, splutter mustard seeds.
- Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, broken red chili and fry for a minute.
- Pour it over the rasam. Serve hot..
Rasam is my favorite ever since I moved to Bangalore. Simple plain Rasam and rice is such a bliss. Great recipe.
