Khajoor is also known as Dates,is a gift from nature and we must consume it specially in winters.As dates are too sweet and sometimes we don't feel like to have them,so here is a solution for it to try dates in a tangy,spicy and salty form as a yummy chutney.
Khajoor is known for it nutritive values like its good for those who are having iron deficiency,it reduces blood pressure and also gives us warmth and vehemence in our bodies.
Its really beneficial in promoting respiratory and digestive health.
This chutney goes very well with Aloo tikki - Papri Chats and with paranthas also.You can store this khajoori chutney in your refrigerator for at least one week.So here goes a must try recipe of the tempting khajoori chutney-

Ingredients
- Khajoor dates - 8 to 10 pieces (de-seed them first and cut it into two pieces) khajoor
- 1 piece Jagerry
- cup Water half
- cup Tamarind soak the tamarind in little warm water for 10 minutes and take out its seeds and unwanted threads half
- 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder optional
- 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 2 Chilies red dry
- Black Salt as per taste

Instructions
- Firstly take a wok add khajoor in it with half cup of water. Stir it till it gets soft(this will take around 10 minutes) Now add one piece of jaggery and mix it with the khajoor.
- After that take the tamarind pulp with its leftover water and pour it in the wok. Now add white salt in the pulp. Wait for 2 to 3 boils till the khajoor gets soft.
- Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down. After it cools down,grind the mixture in a mixer grinder. Now take another wok add 1 tsp oil and add cumin seeds and red chilies in it.
- Now pour the grounded pulp in the wok. Add black salt,red chili powder and some pepper powder and mix it well . You can add water if it has become too thick otherwise no need.
- Now stir the pulp till it gets thick and mixed up properly. Your Khajoori Chutney is ready to enjoy with bhalla papri chat or with paranthas.
