Patishapta is a popular recipe of Bengal which has no limitations. All time favourite but winter is the best season. Because people like to use dates jaggery which is available in winter. I used saffron to make the recipe more delicious. Let’s see how it is done.
1 cup rice flour
1 medium size fresh coconut
50 gm dates jaggery
Broken cashew nuts
2 tbsp raisin
Milk as required
Grate the fresh coconut, make a fillings adding jaggery, cashew nuts, raisin, cardamom powder and saffron.
It will be a sticky filling so it can be preserved for sometime.
Make a batter with rice flour, coconut milk or cow milk and soaked saffron. Take a non stick pan sprinkle with ghee and spread the batter then coconut fillings.
Again sprinkle soaked saffron now ready to serve. Enjoy the winter with your favourite patishapta.
