Ingredients
- 2 large Onions (sliced)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Desi Ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Ginger (finely ground)
- 1/2 tsp Garlic (finely ground)
- 1/4 cup Yogurt
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1-2 Green Chiles (or as per taste, chopped)
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- to Red Chili Powder (taste)
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt with 1/4 cup of water. There should be no lumps.Â
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder & salt to the yogurt/water mix. Mix well and add the remaining water.
- In a pan, heat oil and Ghee.
- Once the oil is hot, add in the cumin seeds and allow them to sizzle
- Add ginger, garlic and green chillies and cook till the ginger and garlic get a little color.
- Keep mixing and stirring till the oil floats on top of the mixtureÂ
- Add in the sliced onions and mix well.
- Increase the flame to a medium high and allow the onions to cook till the moisture has been absorbed.
- Serve hot with chapatis or naan.
