Ingredients
- Kathal or jackfruit ½ kg
- Chopped onions 2
- Chopped tomatoes 1
- Chopped garlic 1 tablespoon
- Chopped ginger 1 teaspoon
- Chopped green chilies to taste
- Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder- 1 tablespoon
- Cumin powder- 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala- 1 teaspoon
- Amchur powder- ½ teaspoon
- Red chili powder to taste
- Salt
- Oil for deep frying
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Chopped coriander for garnishing

- Peel and cut the jackfruit into bite sized pieces. Remove the seeds peel them and chop roughly. You can remove the seeds and cook them separately too. Boil the jackfruit in salted water until become soft. Remove the excess water.
- Heat the oil and fry Jackfruit until golden brown. Keep aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan saute chopped onions, garlic and ginger until onion turns golden brown.
- Add turmeric powder and cook for few seconds, add chopped tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
- Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili Powder, garam Masala and chopped green chilies. Mix well and cook for few seconds.
- Add fried jackfruit mix well. Add Yogurt and ¼ cup water or as required mix quickly and thoroughly. Cover the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes (stir in between).
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with roti or paratha.
