Rava Dosa is a very popular South Indian dosa variety. Rava Dosa is made of Rava alas suji/semolina. Rava is the main ingredients in making rava dosa along with rice flour/maida and tempered seasonings. Instant Rava Dosa is an easy and quick recipe and it doesn't require fermentation and that the best part of the recipe. So try making this at home and enjoy a healthy and tasty rava Dosa.

Ingredients
  

  • Rava – 1 cup
  • Rice Flour – ½ cup
  • Maida – ½ cup
  • Salt
  • Water as needed
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Whole Pepper – 2 tsp
  • Green Chilli – 3 chopped finely
  • For Seasoning: Oil - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • Ginger – 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Onion – 1 medium size finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves – 2-3 tbsp finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl add maida, rice flour, rava and salt. Add water and make into a very thin batter. Set it aside for 15 mins.
  • Heat a non stick tawa and pour couple of ladleful of batter from a height so that it forms small holes in this. Pour it all over the tawa and form a dosa shape.
  • Drizzle oil all over the edges and let it cook for about 2-3 mins. Flip over and cook for a min or two or till golden and crisp.
  • Remove and Serve with any chutney of your choice.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, cumin and pepper and sauté for a min.
  • Add in ginger, curry leaves, green chilli, onion, mix well and saute for a min or two. Pour this to the batter. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
