Rava Dosa is a very popular South Indian dosa variety. Rava Dosa is made of Rava alas suji/semolina. Rava â€“ 1 cup
Rice Flour â€“ Â½ cup
Maida â€“ Â½ cup
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds â€“ 1 tsp
Cumin seeds â€“ Â½ tsp
Whole Pepper â€“ 2 tsp
Green Chilli â€“ 3 chopped finely
For Seasoning: Oil - 1 tsp
Curry leaves â€“ 1 sprig
Ginger â€“ 1 tbsp finely chopped
Onion â€“ 1 medium size finely chopped
Coriander Leaves â€“ 2-3 tbsp finely chopped
In a mixing bowl add maida, rice flour, rava and salt. Add water and make into a very thin batter. Set it aside for 15 mins.
Heat a non stick tawa and pour couple of ladleful of batter from a height so that it forms small holes in this. Pour it all over the tawa and form a dosa shape.
Drizzle oil all over the edges and let it cook for about 2-3 mins. Flip over and cook for a min or two or till golden and crisp.
Remove and Serve with any chutney of your choice.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, cumin and pepper and sautÃ© for a min.
Add in ginger, curry leaves, green chilli, onion, mix well and saute for a min or two. Pour this to the batter. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
