Ingredients
- Thin Poha / Aval / Beaten Rice flakes 2 cups
- Besan flour / Kadalai maavu 2 table spoons
- Rice flour 2 table spoons
- Sooji / Semolina / rava 2 table spoons
- Finely chopped onions green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and coriander leaves
- Salt
- Oil for frying

Instructions
- Wash the poha and soak in water for 7 minutes. Add the chopped items together in a bowl with salt and mix well. Place the poha in a strainer and drain off the water out.
- Squeeze the poha well with hand and add to the bowl with chopped items. Add all the flours to it. Knead forcefully with hand mashing them all together to get the vada dough / batter. Heat oil in a pan.
- Take small lemon size balls from the bowl place them on a plastic sheet and flatten them with fingers to get small vadas. Drop them in oil and fry to golden brown and crispy. Note: Instead of rice flour corn flour
