Gulab Jamun is a very popular Indian dessert dish which is most relished on all festivities. Gulab jamun is usually made with Khoya and panner (cottage Cheese), both milk based items. Try out these new version made with Bread.
This eases out the complete process and you will be delighted with the outcome. This festive season give a little twist to these lovely balls by presenting these cute little bread gulab jamun in form of Lollipops. Kids will be filled with joy and it would be very fascinating for them.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Slices Bread
  • 2 tsp Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 Cardamom small, optional
  • Refined oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Remove the sides of the bread and roughly break the pcs. Add milk and make a soft dough. The dough should not be sticky so do not over knead the dough.
  • Divide the dough into small parts and prepare a ball by putting little sugar inside it.
  • Simultaneously keep water, sugar and cardamom in a pan to make the chashni. Boil it over medium flame till it thickens up (cook till one-thread consistency).
  • Deep fry the balls in oil on low- medium flame till the gulab jamun turns golden brown.
  • Remove from flame and soak into the prepared chashni of water and sugar for atleast 1-2 hours.
  • Serve by using toothpick in each gulab jamun and coat with little sweet sauf like a lollipop
