Ingredients for Idly With Barley

  • 1 cup rice ,
  • 1/3 cup urad dal
  • 1/4 cup barley
  • Salt to adjust
  • 1/2 cup Curd

How to cook Idly With Barley

  1. Over night soaked rice, urad dal and barley. Next day morning make a smooth batter with little bit salt.
  2. Add 1/2 cup curd with the batter blend with spatula. Blend click wise and will become fluffy.
  3. Now greece the mould and pour 3/4 in each mould.
  4. Steam for fifteen minutes. Then remove from the mould.
  5. Serve with fresh coconut Chutney and Sambhar.


It is very soft and light due to barley.
