Idly Manchurian is a fussion of South Indian Idly. It is a traditional breakfast, snack made by steaming a batter consisting of fermented black lentils and rice.

Ingredients
- Ingredients for Manchurian balls
- 1/2 cup maida
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tblspn ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 1/2 tspn red chilli powder
- 1/4 tspn black pepper powder
- 1 tspn soy sauce
- Oil for frying
- Ingredients for sauce
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 1 tblspn ginger garlic paste
- 1 tspn green chilli sauce
- 2 tspn tomato ketchup
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 1/4 tspn black pepper powder
- 1/4 cup spring onion greens
- 2 tspn oil

Instructions
- Mix maida, cornflour, ginger garlic paste, salt, pepper, red chilli powder and soy sauce in a bowl. Add water to make a paste, but it should be of thick consistency. Now cut the idlis into cubes or stripes. But it should be in big pieces.
- Heat the oil for frying. Now dip the idlis into the batter or paste and drop them into the oil. Deep fry them till they turn golden brown in color. Now on the other hand take a pan heat some oil. Add chopped onion with ginger garlic paste.
- Saute it for a min. Now add soy sauce, green chilli sauce, tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Saute it and add 1 tspn cornflour mixed in little bit water. Now add some chopped spring onion greens and fried Idlis in it.
- Mix or toss so that it is coated completely. And now Idly Manchurian is ready to serve.
