Hyderabadi Double Ka Meetha

Here's a big toast to the ever famous dessert from the City of Hyderabad Deccan. I have used pav buns for making this dessert which is generally made with bread, milk and mawa along with dry fruits. This is the most simplest one yet a melt in mouth lovely dessert. You just cannot stay away from this and is the most traditional desserts served at weddings and on all important occasions. The best part is that i have shallow fried the bread pieces instead of deep frying. It is pretty much hard to believe that something so heavenly can be whipped up with something as plain as a loaf of bread. You will be treated to this scrumptious dessert to enjoy the immaculate nawabi hospitality if you ever get to visit this beautiful city at a friend's house.

Instructions
- I have used pav buns for this recipe. Cut them into bite sized pieces. Heat ghee in a pan. Shallow fry these pieces few at a time until golden brown.
- Make a single string consistency sugar syrup in a pan with cardamoms added. Boil milk on a low heat until reduced to half of it's quantity. Stir into it the crushed mawa. Keep it aside. Add warm sugar syrup to the bread pieces and allow to soak.
- After 5 minutes, add milk to the pan and let it simmer for about 10 minutes with a lid on. Finally add fresh cream and drizzle the nuts on top. Mix well and that's it.
- Serve it warm and enjoy this melt in mouth meetha which is a traditional dessert of my beautiful city.
