Ingredients & Quantity
  • For The Gravy Paste:
  • Chopped Onions 2
  • Chopped tomatoes 2
  • Ginger an inch piece
  • Garlic pods 7
  • Cashews 6
  • Green chillies 2
  • Oil 3 tb spoons
  • For the Main Recipe:
  • Button Mushrooms 10
  • Green capsicum chopped 1/2 cup
  • Finely chopped onions 1 cup
  • Cloves and Cinnamon corsely crushed 1 teaspoon together
  • Cumin seeds 1 tea spoon
  • Garam masala Powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • Cumin seed powder 1/2 tea spoon
  • Kashmiri chilli Powder 2 tea spoons
  • Kasuri methi 2 tea spoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 2 tb spoons
  • Butter or Clarified Butter 2 tb spoons
How to cook?
  1. Heat a pan with 3 tb spoons of oil. Add the onions, green chillies, garlic and ginger. Fry till the colour of the stuff changes and add cashews. Now add the tomatoes in to it.
  2. Fry till it becomes mushy. Allow them to cool down. Grind to paste and keep aside
  3. Wash the mushrooms by showing them in running water. Wipe them well with a neat cloth or kitchen towel. Remove the stem and cut them to pods and keep aside.
  4. Heat a wok or pan with oil and butter. Saute it with cumin seeds. Once they splutter add the onions and fry till golden brown.
  5. Hot And Spicy Kadai Mushroom Masala
  6. Now add the crushed spices, garam masla powder and all powders mentioned and stir well. Pour the paste in to it and keep stirring till the oil separates. Add the capsicum and mushroom to it and mix well.
  7. Add required salt and keep stirring. Pour 2 cups of water and wait till the gravy thickens. Finally add the kasuri methi, give a stir and switch off the stove.
