Honey roast beetroot is such a wonderful healthy dish to satisfy your snack or sweet cravings. Glazed with honey and slightly sticky its a treat to your taste buds. Its is an appetizing and healthy snack for your kids.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams beetroot
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¾ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • A generous pinch of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ tablespoon honey

Instructions
 

  • Wash and peel the beetroot.
  • Cut each beetroot into wedges and arrange in a large oven proof pan.
  • Preheat oven @ 180c.
  • Mix brown sugar with apple cider vinegar until the sugar granules are completely dissolved.
  • Mix olive oil, honey and thyme until well combined in a small bowl.
  • Add the cider vinegar and mix well.
  • Pour this dressing over the wedges and toss well until all the wedges are coated completely with the dressing.
  • Roast for 25 minutes until the wedges are sticky and glazed.

Notes

Oven temperature and timings differ from one oven to another, hence adjust the timings and temperature accordingly. Beetroots are very versatile and cook fast. It should not take more than 30 minutes to get roasted.
