Honey-Baked Tofu With Toasted Rye

Honey-baked simple tofu, herbed with home made rye toasted with garlic infused oil.
This British breakfast dish is packed with protein and wholesome slice of seeds bread keep you energized and full for a busy day. Do try this amazing recipe. You can replace the tofu for paneer or feta cheese.

Ingredients
- Tofu 100g
- 2 slice of rye bread
- 2 tbspn Runny honey
- 1/2 Fennel seeds crushed coarsely
- 1 tsp Rosemary crushed between palms
- Salt
- Pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp of butter
- Preparing rye bread;
- 1 Â garlic clove crushed
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup oats flour
- 1/4 cup rye flour
- 1/4 cup of mixed seeds + extra seeds to sprinkle on top
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp coarse Salt
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 +1/2 cup Butter milk 1/2 cup milk + 1/2 water + 1/2 cup curd

Instructions
- Preparing rye bread Mix wet and dry ingredients seperately.
- Add dry to wet mixture in portions. This should be like a very sticky dough. Mix it nicely.
- Line a baking tray with butter paper to pull the bread loaf easily, after its baked. Spread the dough evenly on the tray.
- Sprinkle some seeds on the top and bake for 50-60 minutes or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool on a rack. Slice only after the loaf cools completely.
- Take 2 bread slices that we just prepared. Mix melted butter and crushed garlic.
- Enjoy hot as breakfast, lunch or dinner
- Preparing tofu Place the tofu in a pan pour honey over it. Sprinkle herbs, salt and pepper to taste and bake for 5-7 minutes in a preheated oven @200C.
- Spread the garlic infused oil over the bread slices and keep in oven along with tofu for 4-5 minutes.
Notes
Do not leave the tofu in the oven for long time it will become tough.
