Instructions
 

  • Arrange muffin cups on a baking tray or muffin tray.
  • Sieve whole wheat flour along with cocoa powder, salt and baking soda. Set aside in a bowl.
  • Add quick cooking oats and mix until all the dry ingredients are combined.
  • In another large mixing bowl, mix mashed banana, Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract and oil until smooth.
  • Add the dry ingredients and mix gently.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips / chunks and the nuts.
  • Mix until the ingredients are combined well. Do not do a over mixing.
  • Preheat oven at 160 c.
  • Fill 3/4th level of each muffin cups with the muffin batter.
  • Top them with the remaining chocolate chips / chunks.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 160 c or until a cake tester comes out clean.
  • Allow the baked muffins to cool on a cooling rack.
  • Serve a delicious and healthy muffin for your kids as their snacks / brunch / breakfast muffin with fresh fruits and milk.
