I was travelling by local train in kolkata. These trains are for short distance, one locality to other locality. It was a interesting journey, those who are daily passengers, they have their own groups. Some of them enjoying with playing cards, some of them debating with political discussion, some ladies prefer gossip by travelling. I was watching all the activities, suddenly I spotted a vendor who was selling Jhalmuri. Then my daughter said "Maa let us taste this jhalmuri". I asked the vendor to pack for us. I am sharing the easy and tasty recipe.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 bowl Puffed Rice
  • 2 tbsp Churmur churmur
  • 1/2 red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Green Chillies chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Mustard Oil
  • slice Coconut fresh
  • 1/2 tsp Black Salt
  • 1-2 tsp Salt of regular, or as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Take a mixing bowl add puffed rice, churmur, green chilli, red chilli powder, black salt, regular salt, lemon juice, mustard oil and spices.
  • Mix well and make a conical paper packet. Fill with jhalmuri and serve with fresh coconut slices.

Recipe Notes

Some people like to add onion, boiled potatoes and cucumber. But we don’t like moist.
