This is a very simple vegetable which can be made quicly for breakfast or to pack it in tiffin

  • Spring onions 250 grams potato 2 big size, garlic about 4 cloves sliced into long pieces , salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, oil, 2-3 green chillies, two pinch of of Nigella seed (kalongi)


  • Wash and cut spring onions. Cut the leafy part separately and the onion bulb separately, Cut potatoes like you would cut for french fries.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add kalongi and garlic cloves, after 30 secs add white part of the onion. saute it and add the potatoes.

  • Fry them for a minute and then add green part.
  • Add green chillies, salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and let it cook on sim flame for about 10-15 mins. Check the potatoes to make sure it is properly cooked.
  • Serve this crunchy sabzi with paratha.. It taste different and yummy and add variety to the regular sabzi's we eat.
