Gulkand Rose Thandai (Step by Step Photos)

Thandai is popular in the North and is a summer coolant too! This recipe is prepared with a combination of dry fruits, rose petal paste (gulkand), saffron strands, black pepper, fennel seeds and spices. The use of all these nuts and spices is what makes this drink so soothing and refreshing.

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoon Gulkand
- 1 tbsp rose petals dry
- 10-12 almonds
- 8-10 cashews
- 1 tbsp dry coconut grated
- 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds saunf
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds Khas Khas
- 2-3 white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 4-5 Cardamoms
- 2-3 Cloves
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 500 ml milk full cream
- 2 tbsp milk powder

Instructions
- Dry roast almonds, cashews, poppy seeds, saunf in pan.
- Assemble all ingredients.
- Grind all dry ingredients in a mixer jar.
- Thandai powder is ready
- Now add milk, milk powder, sugar and blend in a high speed for 1-2 minute. Add crushed ice if required.
- Garnish with dry rose petals. Serve chilled Gulkand Rose Thandai
