Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For a smoother jam texture, strain the cooked guava pulp through a fine mesh sieve before combining it with sugar, removing seeds and any fibrous bits.
- If you prefer a chunkier jam, reserve some diced guava pieces and stir them into the mixture during the final 10 minutes of cooking for bursts of fruit in every bite.
- To infuse a subtle floral note, add 2-3 crushed green cardamom pods to the simmering jam and remove them before bottling; this complements the tropical flavor and gives an Indian twist.
- Store unopened jars in a cool, dark place; once opened, keep the jam refrigerated and use within 3 weeks for optimal freshness and flavor.
