Five spice means punchforan in Bengali. Jeera, onion seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seed and mustered seeds same amount is called five spice

Ingredients & Quantity
  • 4 pieces potato
  • 4 pieces parwal
  • 4 pieces arvi
  • 4 pieces Pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 2 tsp onion paste
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp punchforan (whole)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Roasted Punchforan
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste

How to cook?
  1. All vegetable should be cut in same size and same amount.
  2. Now heat a pan add 2 tsp mustered oil add whole punchforan. Add all vegetable pieces pinch of sugar salt green chilli paste turmeric powder and stir. Now cover the lid. After 10 minutes add curd again stir fry.
  3. At last add roasted punch foran masala powder.
  4. Serve with steam rice or chapati.
