We all love cakes but we are constantly afraid of eating too many calories. So try this super healthy cake loaded with the goodness of whole wheat, organic jaggery and dates. And this cake will satisfy the taste buds of your guests and you will surely get compliments from your guests.

Whole Wheat flour â€“ 2 cups
Refined oil â€“ Â¾ cup
Curd â€“ 1 cup
Organic Jaggery â€“ 1 cup
Dates â€“ 10-12 pieces roughly chopped
Raisins- 1/4 cup
Cinnamon powder â€“ 2 tsp (quantity can be decreased to 1/2 tsp also)
Dry Ginger Powder- 1 tsp
Clove powder- 1/2 tsp
Baking powder â€“ Â½ tsp
Baking soda â€“ 1.5 tsp
Nuts (walnuts, almonds etc.) - 1/4 cup finely chopped.
Pre-Heat the oven at 180°C and grease the baking dish or cake tin.
Soak chopped dates and raisin in water for about 15 minutes.
Sift and Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl - Whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, dry ginger and clove powder.
In a separate bowl, add oil, curd. Melt jaggery in a microwave/on a Gas stove for 1 minute and add into the mixture to form a smooth puree.
Add both dry and wet ingredients to form a nice batter. Now add soaked dates and raisin. Add little water, if the batter gets too thick.
Pour the cake batter into the baking dish/tin. Sprinkle some crushed nuts on top of the batter.
Now bake the cake for 30-35 minutes at 180°C or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let this cool down completely. Now remove this from the baking dish/tin and cut into pieces. Serve this with a cup of tea/coffee. Enjoy!
