Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For perfectly shaped chocolate cups, use silicone cupcake molds; once the chocolate sets, the cups will release effortlessly without cracking.
- If you want a burst of texture, add a thin layer of crushed graham crackers or shortbread at the bottom of each chocolate cup before piping in the mousse.
- To prevent the mousse and ice cream layers from melting quickly, chill the assembled cups in the freezer for 10 minutes before serving, but allow them to sit at room temperature for 2-3 minutes to soften slightly for the best flavor and texture.
- For a striking presentation, garnish each cup with a chocolate-dipped strawberry or a sprinkle of freeze-dried strawberry powder on top just before serving.
