  • 1 cup Spinach chopped
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin Seed
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 Potatoes boiled


  • Heat a nonstick pan over medium flame. Add the washed spinach to the pan.
  • Once spinach is cooked and most water dries up, transfer the spinach in a dish.
  • In the same pan, add 2 teaspoons of mustard oil.
  • add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Then add chopped onion. cook till translucent.
  • Add garlic ginger paste. Add all the dry spices.
  • Now add the cubed potatoes and mix.
  • cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes
  • add spinach and Mix it.
  • cook for another 3-4 minutes or till potatoes are done.
