Instructions
- Peel and boil the drumstick pieces of two inches in 2 cups of water. After boiling keep aside. Do not throw the water.
- Prepare a batter of gramflour and curd of flowing consistency without any lumps. Also add water 1 cup. Keep aside.
- In a heavy bottomed vessel heat ghee, asafoetida, add the gramflour batter and keep stirring so that it does not stick to the bottom. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add the water of drumstick and drumstick pieces which we had boiled and cook for a while till its colour changes and consistency is thickened. This process takes around fifteen minutes and keep stirring in between.
- Now add paneer cubes, half ginger juliennes , a little more water and cook for few minutes for flavours to mingle.
- Your Drumstick Paneer is ready to be served.Transfer to the serving dish and garnish with chopped corriander and rest ginger juliennes fried in oil.
- Enjoy sizzling hot with roti , bread or rice as per choice.
Notes
- I have used subtle flavours but you can use the tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves, chilli powder, or dry red chillies.
