Date and Figs Bar is a guilt-free snack and dessert which can be packed as tiffin for kids.
All health conscious who have a sweet-tooth need not compromise on their health while they enjoy this sweet as its full of the nutrients which date and figs have to offer.
This is an easy and great recipe which can kill your hunger pangs while traveling.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Figs dried
  • 1 cup Dates dried, de-seeded
  • 1/2 cup Almond crushed
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts Kernels
  • 2 tbsp Pumpkin seeds Roasted
  • 2 tbsp White Sesame Roasted
  • 1 tbsp Couscous Roasted
  • 1 tbsp Flax seeds Roasted
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon powder
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor or blender, combine dates and figs, coarsely ground and keep separate.
  • Grate or coarsely ground almond and walnuts and keep separate.
  • Take a frying pan add butter and let it melt, add coarsely ground Date and figs. Stir fry for few minutes.
  • As they are already sweet there is no need to add extra sugar. Use honey for binding instead.
  • Now add white sesame and honey, stir the date and fig mixture till it forms a lump.

  • Now take a tray spread an aluminum sheet brush with butter and spread the cooked the mixture evenly. Sprinkle the coarsely ground nuts and seeds evenly.

  • Keep at room temperature for 10 minutes. Then cut the lines so that it becomes easy to take out date and fig bars after it is refrigerated for 2 hours or more.
