This is one of the easiest and basic recipes of chicken that I had learnt. Subtle and usage of minimalistic spices yet absolutely delightful to the palate.

Ingredients
- Chicken with bones - 500 gm
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
- Onions chopped - 2
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder equal ratios of cardamom, cloves and cinnamon, powdered together - 1 tsp
- Salt as required
- Bay leaf - 1
- Refined oil as required
- Curd - 1 cup
- Coriander leaves handful

Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, garam masala powder, curd, salt. Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
- Now heat a heavy bottomed wok with required amount of oil.
- Once the oil is heated, add the bay leaf followed by the chopped onion.
- Saute the onions till they turn golden brown in color. Then add the marinated chicken along with marinade in the bowl.
- Give this a stir and let it cook on a low flame with the lid on and intermittent stirring.
- Once the chicken is done, add little water for the gravy and bring upto boil.
- Sprinkle ample amount of chopped coriander leaves. Check for the seasoning and serve with some steamed rice or roti.
