  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a shallow pan.
  • Add red chillies and urad dal and let it brown.
  • Now add green chillies, ginger and coriander leaves and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add salt and jaggery and mix well. Turn off the stove and let it cool.
  • Grind it to a fine chutney and set aside.
  • Spread the chutney on a bread slice and cover with another bread slice. Cut into 4 pieces.
  • Mix the flours. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, soda bicarbonate,salt and carom seeds. Add water and make a thick batter.
  • Dip the bread pieces in the batter and fry it till it turns brown. Remove from oil and let it cool. Serve with tomato sauce.
