Classic Honey Flan is an easy baked dessert. Flans are originated in Spain. Classic Honey Flan is mildly sweet and the most importantly this dessert does not contain any sugar. This recipe is nutritious as it contains egg, low fat milk and honey.

Ingredients
  

  • Eggs - 3
  • Milk - 11/2 cup low fat
  • Honey - 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla Essence - few drops
  • Cinnamon Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable Oil - few drops for greasing mould

Instructions
 

  • Equally divide the honey in two portions each portion should contain 1/4 cup.
  • Take one portion of honey and mix with cinnamon powder and keep aside.
  • In another bowl combine beaten eggs, milk, vanilla essence and another portion of honey.
  • Now grease the moulds with little oil (one or two drop).
  • Next take 1 tablespoon of honey cinnamon mixture and add into each mould.
  • After that add the egg mixture into each mould on top of honey cinnamon mixture
  • Preheat the oven at 160 degree C for 5 minutes and keep the moulds in a water bath and bake them at 160 degree C for 45 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.

Notes

Beat the egg mixture very well but keep in mind it should not produce any foam. I have used two moulds as the sizes were bigger, you can use smaller size four moulds.
