Cheesy Oats Kebab With Yoghurt Mayo Dip

  • 3 medium sized potatoes
  • 5 heaped tbsp oats
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil leaves
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped capsicum
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 50 gms mozarella cheese
  • 3 tsp cornflour for coating
  • Salt
  • oil for frying
  • Ingredients for dip
  • 3 tbsp thick curd
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • Green and black olives for garnish


  • Boil and mash the potatoes. Add the oats, chopped capsicum, chopped coriander leaves and green chillies. Add chilli flakes, oregano and basil leaves and mix well. Add 2 tsp cornflour and salt as per taste. Mix well and make a soft dough.
  • Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into kebabs by rolling and pressing.
  • Take a kebab and place a small cube of mozarella cheese in it and again close the kebab and give it shape. Repeat the same process for the rest of the kebabs.
  • Take the remaining cornflour and mix with water to make a thin batter. Dip the kebabs in it and roll in the 3 tbsp of oats kept separately. When coated evenly deep fry in medium heat oil till golden brown.
  • To make the dip mix all the ingredients for the dip and chill for an hour. Garnish with green and black olive slices. Serve the hot kebabs with the chilled dip.
