A melt in mouth dessert that is easy to make for any special occasion. With the basic recipe you can make any variations in adding more ingredients like grated carrot, pineapple pulp or orange juice to make it more flavorful and rich in taste.

Ingredients
  

  • 10 sweet bread slices.
  • ghee 6 tb spoons
  • 3 cup 250 ml of whole fat milk
  • 1 1/2 cup Half of the measurement of bread powder sugar
  • roasted nuts cardamom powder

Instructions
 

  • Take 10 wheat bread slices Powder them in a mixie.
  •  Heat a heavy bottomed pan with 2 tb spoons of ghee. Once the ghee is heated keep the flame low and roast the bread powder to golden brown colour.
  •  Now add 3 cups (250 ml) of whole fat milk to it and stir well. In few minutes the bread absorbs the milk fully and becomes like a paste consistency.
  •  Now add 1 1/2 cups (Half of the measurement of bread powder) of sugar to it and stir well. While stirring add 3 tb spoons of ghee.
  •  Within 5 minutes the halwa will come like a ball without stirring to the pan. Add roasted nuts, cardamom powder and stir.
