  • ½ bowl gourd chopped
  • ¼ bowl moong badi
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion seeds
  • 2 whole red chilli
  • 2 tablespoon mustard oil
  • Salt to taste


  • Heat oil in a pan add onion seeds and whole red chilli. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder.

  • Add chopped bottle gourd and salt. Mix and close the lid for 10 minutes to become soft.

  • In other side shallow fry the badi and add chilli powder. Pour the cooked bottle gourd curry.

  • Cook again for a minute it will become thick. Then garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice or chapati.
