This is different kind of Indian onion pakora recipe which is not deep fried. The batter for blooming onion is simple to prepare and all ingredients are very handy in kitchen. This is another addition to my healthy air fryer recipes.

Ingredients
- 1 Onion (big )
- 2 cup Rice Flour
- Salt (as per taste)
- 1/2 tsp Ginger Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Oregano (Italian seasoning)
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cooking Soda
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 cup Bread Crumb

Instructions
- Cut onions to form petals keeping the end intact. Open the onion petals as much as possible.
- This is our blooming onion. Prepare batter of 1 cup rice flour, salt, ginger powder, red chili powder, black pepper, cooking soda, oil and water .
- Keep 3 bowls ready - first dry rice flour, second rice flour batter, third bread crumbs.
- Dip blooming onion in first dry rice flour and dust off extra flour. then dip in second batter bowl and coat it completely.
- Adding batter inside the crevices of onion petals. Invert the onion to drip off excess batter.
- Then finally transfer it to bread crumb mixture. Preheat air fryer at 180 degrees for 5 min.
- Air fry coated blooming onion at 180 degrees for 5 min first , then at 200 degrees for 10 min till crisp.
- Serve immediately with mayo and ketchup dip.
