Hummus" comes from the Arabic word meaning "chickpeas. Hummus goes well with veg salad, chips, nachos, crackers or burgers, sandwiches. In this recipe I have used cooked beetroot along with cooked chickpeas blended using some spices. It goes well with veg salad or sandwiches.

  • 1/2 cup Chickpeas boiled â
  • 1/2 cup Beetroot cooked â
  • 1 tbsp Tahini or sauce sauce â
  • 2 tsp Lemon Juice â
  • 2 clove Garlic â
  • 1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder â
  • 1 tsp Freshly Ground Black Paper €“ 1 Tsp freshly ground black paper â
  • 1/2 tbsp Vegetable Oil or oil olive or any oil
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste


  • Add all ingredients into blender. Blend it into a smooth paste.
  • Serve with crackers or nachos.
  • Store in an airtight container and transfer in refrigerator. Consume within two days.
